What Does a Blank Header Inage Say About You on LinkedIn?

Would you go to a face to face Business Networking meeting half dressed? No, you wouldn't.  You'd want to look your best and/or represent your personal and business brand well.

If your profile and your other content on LinkedIn talks about how fabulous you are and the results you get for other people but your profile header is blank some people won't belive the words.  They'll judge you by what's missing.  I know it's unfair but we all do it, including you!

I've written a short article on this on LinkedIn and you may well have come here from that.  So, you'll know that I'm so keen to make you look as good as you really are that I'll create a header image absolutely free.  I'll even have three goes at it to make sure you love it.

You can do it yourself in Canva or one of many other similar online tools.  I do it using professional tools software because I have developed some skills and experience in using them.  The image needs to be 1,128 pixels wide by 191 pixels tall.

There are a couple of other simple things to think about.  One is that your profile headshot will be shown by LinkedIn on the left and slightly over the top of your header image.  That just means you need to avoid having any critical text that has to be read going too far left.  So my header image above wouldn't work.  It's just been made to deliver a message on this page, not on my profile.  Secondly, make sure it works well on your mobile.  Again, you may need to move things around a little.  That can be trial and error.
